Diving on a regular basis might not be possible for everyone with a busy schedule or far away from the sea.

In the Scuba Review you will refresh not only your safety skills, but will get an opportunity to adjust your trim and buoyancy control for your dives with us already, before you take the first fun dive.

The refresher only takes a few hours and is conducted in our swimming pool or – upon request – in a shallow part

Once your skills are up to date you will find yourself more relaxed with better trim and control and most likely using less air!

If your last dive was a while back, we recommend a refresher to update your diving skills

Scuba Review offers an option for all divers who find themselves a bit rusty after a longer time without an option to dive.

It’s a great way to get back into it by refreshing the basic skills, adjusting your buoyancy to the local needs and making your dives a lot more relaxed and it only takes half a day, you can pick between morning or afternoon.

Every diver should consider doing it after not being diving for 6 months or more, as insurance usually require it as well.

Part 1: Theory

There isn’t that much theory to review in our Scuba Review. You will answer a short questionnaire which mainly focuses on a review of safety procedures and techniques.

We will also will review the way to safely plan our dives and the usage of a dive computer, as all your dives will be using a dive computers.

Part 2: diving time

Now it’s time to get back into it!

To start off our review, we will size you up and hand you your personal set of equipment for the duration of your stay with us. We will then have a look at refreshing your knowledge on equipment setup and Predive Safety Checks before we head into the water.

The skills we are going to cover in the water include the following areas:
– Entries & Exits
– Airway Control (Regulator Recovery, Free Flow-Regulator-Breathing)
– Mask skills (Mask Removal & Replacement, No Mask Swimming)
– Out-of-Air skills (use of Alternate Air Sources & Ascents, C.E.S.A, BCD oral inflation)
– Buoyancy skills (Fin Pivot, Hovering, Buoyancy and trim checks)
– Equipment removal (on the surface and underwater, emergency weight drop on the surface)

We will try to focus on the areas you want to refresh the most and on top of that mainly work on buoyancy control, as this changes the most with time and environment.
